Firsts for Wyatt

Wyatt has had a big weekend!  He had his first conformation class on Saturday and attended his first fun match on Sunday.  He loved it all and had a great time! Next fun match scheduled for October 1st!  We hear that brother Nick has a fun match this month too, and are hoping sister Natalie can join us in Seguin on the 1st!

Wyatt also has experienced his first watermelon - what a hoot!

Is it a ball?  Whatever it is I think it's for ME!

This grooming stuff can be a lot of fun, esp when I get to chew on the equipment!

Here we are at the match getting all groomed up!

Here I am with my "mom" - she thinks SHE is supposed to wear the  number but I know better!

Puppy update

The "babies" are now 16 weeks old!  I am so lucky that I get to see a couple of them regularly, and other families send me  pictures here and there.  Here are some photos taken and received over the last few weeks.  Everyone is doing GREAT and happy in their new homes!

Wyatt LOVES his Dad! I kind of think Dad loves Wyatt too!

Max at the groomers - they give lots of cookies here!

Bella and Wyatt adore each other and played all weekend long!

Sister Natalie came for a visit - it was a regular family reunion! Taking a little break here.....

Even Bella and Wyatt had to take a break at times!

Kolt had a ball playing with the puppies again!  Such a great Uncle!

Puppies are now 14 weeks!

All of the puppies are in their new homes now!  Here are some photos of a couple of the puppies.

Here is a photo of Wyatt on his bed - wonder how he knows it's his????

Zeus - our "little orange boy" is now up to 20 lb!  He recently came for a visit!

Wyatt says you just have to tolerate certain things to be a show dog!

Wyatt LOVES his youngest "brother" Luke - they play all the time.  He also adores his other "brother" Jager who likes to play some of the time, but also likes to watch with the grown-ups!

My new home!

With mixed feelings Bella, Kolt and I have watched our last puppy go to his new home - yes, Wyatt now lives in the beautiful Hill Country with my good friends who also have his two "uncles".  We had a great time visiting them for my birthday weekend and they loved Wyatt so much that they asked if he could stay.  Wyatt, along with his brother Nick and sister Natalie, will all be show puppies!  Here are some photos of Wyatt enjoying his new home!

Wow - I have my own bed that nobody else fits in!

Golfers, walkers, other dogs, deer and everything else you can imagine!
Wyatt hardly gets any rest with all there is to see and do!

Guess what - Wyatt is still here!

Surprise surprise!  Wyatt is still here - we are looking for just the right home for him - while I'd love a show home the most important thing is a good home.  Email me if you are interested.  We had a fun visit from sister Natalie on Friday - she is doing great and kept the boys in line while here.  On Saturday Nick went to his new home, but before he left the boys had some quality time in the backyard with their Uncle Kolt!  Nick is doing great with his new family in Lubbock, and Wyatt is learning to adapt to being an "only child".  He's having a great time with Kolt and Bella - plus he loves all the attention from me!

Look who's still here!

Kolt and his nephews play football

What in the heck are you trying to do Nick?

Wyatt - quit playing in the water bowl!

Where did all my brothers and sisters go?

Our last weekend!

Since the last two puppies will be going home on Saturday, this was our last weekend together!  It was fun just being able to concentrate on two pups for a change.  We spent a lot of time out in the big backyard with Mama Bella!  On Saturday White boy will be going to his new home in Lubbock - his new name is Always National Treasure and he will be called Nick.  Blue boy is going to the Houston area and his new name is Always Notorious and he will be called Wyatt.  What cute and fun names!   Both new owners plan to show their puppies so I am thrilled about that!  Here are some fun photos from the weekend!

Nick tries to climb the slide - he almost made it!

Wyatt plays soccer!  Do we have a future David Beckham in the family???

Hmm, wonder if we would be in trouble if we started digging up these pretty flowers?

We're all just taking a little break - don't take us inside YET!

Where did they all go???

We are now down to two puppies!  Harlow flew off to Canada on Friday - I told her how lucky she is never to see the 100 degree heat again - but I kept the snow and cold temps a big secret.  All went well and Harlow was a huge hit at the airport.  On Saturday, Mr. Turquoise went to his home in the Houston area - he is now called Sparky and has twin boys to keep him busy.  So far everyone is doing great in their new homes.  White boy and Blue Boy remain and will both be going to show homes in a couple of weeks.  I must admit it has been a lot easier taking care of just two puppies.  Bella is still enjoying them and loves backyard time.  Here are some pics from Sunday morning!

I wonder what instructions Bella is giving Blue Boy?

The water bowl is an endless source of fun!  Green girl taught the boys well.

And then there were four....

This weekend puppies started going home!  On Friday Orange Boy now known as Zeus went to live north of Austin with his new family which includes two children.  Later that day Green Girl who is Natalie went home to just south of San Antonio with her new mom - we'll see lots of Natalie since I will co own her and she is going to be a show dog!  Sunday Purple Boy now called Max went home with his new family which includes an 8 year old to north Dallas.  And finally on Monday Yellow Boy who is Hank went home with his new mom - he also got to meet his grandparents and will visit them in San Antonio before heading home to Houston.  Pink Girl who is now Harlow met her mom and grandmother on Monday too - they will pick her up on Thursday when they fly home to Canada.  It was an exciting weekend for everyone!

Bella put her stamp of approval on all homes btw.  But I think she is just  now figuring out they are gone.  I think she thought everyone was there to see HER!!!  Here are a few photos taken in the last day or so!

It sure seems less crowded in here!

I sure like it that we are getting more attention now!

See Bella looking into the pen as if to say where did they all go????

More fun in the backyard!

Here are two more videos of the puppies playing in the backyard this past weekend. Oh boy did they have fun - between the ivy and the sport climber and the water bowl they had plenty to keep them busy!

Hard to Believe - Babies are 7 weeks old now!

What a fun weekend we had with the puppies!  More company here to help me out, and to visit and hold the babies.  They are getting so big and sure are developing individual personalities now!  They spend all their time in the puppy pen, outside in the dog run, or in the big backyard - and occasionally racing through the house with me trying to catch them! Here are some fun shots from the weekend!

Here is the Schnauzer version of a Puppy Conga Line! They still love to snuggle.

Green girl has learned to use the water bowl as her swimming pool!

LET ME IN!!!

If we could just figure out how to turn on the water we wouldn't need the water bowl to swim in!

Puppy Fun Outside

My friend Lynne has visited and helped me with the puppies for the last two weekends.  She created this video when they were 6 weeks old!  Take a peek out how eight puppies can have fun!  Between myself, Lynne and Mama Bella we were barely able to keep track of all eight of them having a ball out in the yard!  Especially when they ran through the ivy!

Six Weeks Old!

Pups are now 6 weeks old - getting bigger and more active every day and sleeping less.  They love being outside but with the heat we have been having they can only go out mornings and in the evening for very long.  My friend Lynne came to help out this weekend and we were able to groom all 8 puppies for the first time and spend a lot of time out in the backyard exploring.  Pups had a wonderful time playing in the ivy and around the sport climber!

Bella is teaching her babies how to get in and out of the ivy. Pups love playing in it!

Whee! Yellow boy goes down the slide!  He couldn't wait to do it again!

Bella gets on to green girl for wandering off too far!

Orange boy peeks out from between all the clay pots - he loves to explore this area!

Another Big Weekend!

Puppies are now 5 weeks old!  They are now spending most of their inside time in the puppy pen only going back to the puppy condo in the dog room at night to sleep.  They LOVE the puppy pen - it is big and cool and they can see everything that is going on in the main part of the house.  PLUS, lots of great toys, pillows and bedding!  Life is grand!  They also had their first trip outside to the "big backyard" - it was so much fun.  Mama Bella kept them in line and didn't let them stray too far.  They already love their sport climber and run in and out from under it over and over, sometimes stopping to take a break.  Wonder when they will try to get up the "rock climbing wall" or the slide?

Here is our fancy new feeding dish on loan from our good friend Sharon!  No more messy feet from walking thru the food!

Pups had such a wonderful time with Mom on their first trip outside.  She kept everyone in line!

The climber got lots of attention right away!

These pups want to become gardeners!  They wouldn't stay out of the potting area.

Whoops - there goes Bella chasing after Yellow Boy!

A quiet moment with Pink Girl!

More exciting times!

The puppies are now 4 weeks old and had another exciting weekend! They are now weighing anywhere from about 3 1/2 lb to around 4 1/2 lb.  This weekend the puppies starting eating some of their meals outside - they are learning to do their business outside as well with many of them already venturing out from the patio to the gravel in the dog run.  They have learned from Mama Bella about drinking water and enjoy playing with their toys outside along with chewing and climbing on the Mountain Laurel tree.   Another change they just love is the puppy pen has been set up in the dining area just by the door out to the dog run.  It gives them a lot of room to play or snooze - and is ideal when visitors come to see the puppies. They still go to the puppy room to sleep in the puppy condo at this time.  They now have all kinds of fun places to go and hang out.

Our big excitement on Sunday was that they learned they could squeeze between the gate and fence post to the fence that divides the dog run and the big backyard.  Once one pup "escaped" the others weren't far behind.  Puppies were quickly retrieved after much excitement from the puppies, visitors, and Bella and Kolt (who were in the yard and didn't expect to be babysitting at that moment!).  They are now contained in the dog run and I plan to introduce them to the big backyard (as well as the sport climber) for real next weekend!

Here are some photos from the weekend!

The girls play with the big soft toys!

Here are the puppies chowing down outside for the first time.  Play time afterwards!

The puppies LOVE the puppy pen set up - tons of room even for EIGHT puppies!

Pink Girl seems constantly drawn to the Pink Pig!
